Finding the right fit matters — especially with handmade footwear designed to last for years. To help you choose the correct size, we’ve created a simple, accurate method you can do at home in just a few minutes.
How to Measure Your Feet
To get the most accurate result, follow these four steps:

Stand barefoot on a sheet of paper.

Hold a pencil upright (90 degrees to the paper) and trace the outline of each foot.

Measure the longest and widest points of each outline, using the blue (length) and green (width) guides shown in our chart.

Compare your measurements with the sizing chart below to find your recommended Groundcover size.
Taking a moment to measure helps ensure the most comfortable fit — especially with our unisex designs and durable leathers that gently mould to your feet over time.

A Note on Fit
Our lasts are designed with a medium, unisex fit. If you fall between sizes, we generally recommend sizing down — the suede and leather insole will soften and shape to your foot with wear.

Free UK Delivery
At Groundcover UK, we want receiving your order to feel as dependable and straightforward as the boots themselves. Every order includes free UK delivery, with optional paid upgrades if you prefer a faster Royal Mail service.
Dispatch Time
Orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days. As a small UK team handling every order with care, we always aim to send your parcel as quickly as possible.
Free Standard UK Delivery
All orders are shipped using Royal Mail Tracked 48 at no extra cost.
Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number so you can follow its journey to your door.
Optional Delivery Upgrades
If you’d like your parcel to move faster through the Royal Mail network, we offer two paid upgrades:
Royal Mail Tracked 24 – quicker delivery once dispatched
Royal Mail Special Delivery – Royal Mail’s fastest, most secure service
These upgrades don’t change our 3–5 day dispatch time, but they do ensure a faster postal service after your order leaves us. We charge only what Royal Mail charges us — never more.

Returns & refunds
At Groundcover UK, we encourage thoughtful purchasing. As a small business built on ethical production, sustainable practices, and the incredible skill of our team, we aim to reduce waste while ensuring you’re completely satisfied with your order.
We only send out shoes we truly stand behind, and we hope you’ll love them as much as we do. If your Groundcover purchase isn’t quite right, you have 14 days from receiving your order to request a return.
Refunds
We’re happy to offer a refund on unworn shoes returned in their original packaging and in perfect, resalable condition. Please note that return postage for refunds is at your own cost.
Exchanges
If you’d like a different size, we’re pleased to offer free UK exchanges on unworn shoes. Simply contact us to arrange this — we’ll take care of the rest.
